Tony Herbert
Anthony "Tony" Herbert (born 1922 in Castleconnell, County Limerick) is an Irish retired sportsperson and Fianna Fáil politician. He played hurling with his local clubs Ahane and Faughs and was a member of the Limerick and Dublin senior inter-county teams from 1940 until 1954.[1]. Anthony was first elected as a Fianna Fáil Senator in 1977 and served in both the 14th and 16th Seanad, retiring in 1982. [2]
